The rocks of Bluestone beach are normally dark grey but in early morning light they take on the colour of the dawn sky reflecting blues and yellows from their glistening surfaces. To get proper exposure Damon had to set his landscape camera to a shutter speed of 4 seconds. The result is that the waves and water give a wispy surreal effect as they wash over the rocks. This is a good example of how scenes can change dramatically depending on the weather, light and the time of day.
